VR Voyage: the making-of
VR Voyage combines a classic canal cruise through Amsterdam with innovative virtual reality, allowing visitors to travel back to the 17th century. During the cruise, the boat transforms into a floating 360° cinema at seven locations, bringing historical Amsterdam to life in vivid detail. Thanks to extensive historical research, specially developed software, and precise 3D animations, visitors experience the city as it was 400 years ago. The result is a unique, immersive cruise where technology and history come together.
Founding XR Visuals Factory and begin VR Voyage
XR Visuals Factory was founded with the mission to make history visible through Extended Reality technology (AR/VR). VR Voyage is its first product, in which visitors take a canal cruise through Amsterdam and, at specific locations, travel back to the 17th century using VR.
